SUCCESSFUL TRAVERSE CITY WINDOW & DOOR DISTRIBUTOR ANNOUNCES SALE
(TRAVERSE CITY)
Access Window, Door & Hardware, Inc., a long time and well-known Traverse City area business has been acquired by Access WDH, Inc. of Grand Rapids, MI. Former owners, Tim Louis and Kirk Nostrant, the original founders and operators of the company, will be working with the new owners, Jeff Smit and Barry Dyer to do as much as possible to ensure the continued success of the company. Jeff, along with his family, plan on relocating to the Traverse City area and are excited about becoming part of both the business community and community at large. Jeff, commented he and his wife have family living in the Traverse City area so this move is a perfect fit for business and family reasons.
Jeff explained that this is a move he and his family having been hoping to make for years and it is finally happening. “We are delighted it is finally happening and I look forward to putting my engineering skills to work and meet all of our customers and suppliers. There is much work for us to do and I am excited to get started,” Jeff said.
Tim Louis and Kirk Nostrant are pleased to have had Golden Circle Advisors (GCA), a business brokerage firm headquartered in Traverse City, act as broker for the transaction. GCA’s Traverse City’s office is located in the Commonplace and has another office in Southeastern, Michigan; its President is Curtis Kuttnauer, a resident of Sutton’s Bay. Curtis acted as lead advisor on the transaction. Tim and Kirk have both expressed their gratitude to Golden Circle Advisors and, of course, all of the customers who over the years made Access such a success. Tim went on, “We both believe, our success was possible because of hard work, but equally important, was and will continue to be the people who make the dynamic Traverse City region such a terrific place to do business. As partners, Kirk and I are both grateful to each other for the opportunity to work as a team to build a great business and the benefit of doing it right here in Traverse City cannot be overstated.”
Both former owners agree, none of it would have been possible without an outstanding business and community environment provided by Northwest Michigan in general and the Traverse City market in particular. Kirk added, “We are convinced there is unlimited opportunity for Jeff and Barry. We have always found this area to be a great place to do business. We are confident, they are going to continue a culture of high-quality customer service, along with providing the best in door and window products available in Northwest Michigan.
